Well, I got my car back today and it’s running a lot better. It sort of made a weird sound driving home, but considering my history, it was probably the sound of it running properly, for all I know. I’m not completely clear on the particulars, but I think they said it was the alternator. Whatever it was, it set me back about 300 bucks. Luckily for me, my mom owed me a little bit of money, so a tiny bit of the edge was taken off. Ultimately, I guess I mostly used the money that I had saved up for Buckeye Con, so I suppose it’s a good thing that it ended up being a slow one.
Still, if I’m going to dump so much money into my car as often as it seems I have to, I really have to think about geeking it out. A while back, Jon told me about a guy who dose custom decals and I’ve thought of a couple I’d consider getting. For one, Jon had mentioned one time getting the Autobot’s symbol on his van and I told him that if he did, I’d get the Decepticons symbol on mine. I’m also considering getting the Dharma Initiative logo as well as the symbol of the Jedi. (Well, that’s technically the “Legacy of the Force” symbol, but lots of people have adopted that as the symbol of the Jedi.)
